It lives in a rose pressed between the pages of a diary, in a glance across a crowded courtyard, in the colour that rises to her cheeks when a certain name is mentioned. Naari Gul holds that feeling: a deep, warm red where pale roses climb on slender vines, opening one after another like words she never said.
