Coral Hand-woven

I am a pair of Shirt and Dupatta, woven in pure combed cotton.

I was woven by the technique of "Jamdani" Jacquard which is a rare and endangered technique of Pakistan.

It took my weaver 6 hours per yard to weave.

My Pret is created using pure cotton thread and the beautiful color motifs were created by the hands of our Artisans one by one.

Do not Worry! I will not loose my colors, I am yarn-dyed by OEKO-TEX® certified dyes, which makes me more comfortable and irritation free, which means that I'll never harm your skin.

I was woven by Voile's master artisan "Ghani Ud Din"

Ghani Ud Din  (Aged 59) started working as a hand-weaver at the age of 11 in 1974, along with his father he ran his family business to support his 6 siblings, but he suffered the same fate as other artisans, due to the art of hand-weave being diminishing he had to shut down his business, Ghani Ud Din considers this art being one of the unique arts is declining, and if this extinct, nobody will be able to bring this art back alive.

Voile and its master artisans are vigorously working to put life into the art of hand-weave, we hope that by promoting this art to our valuable customers the next generation of our artisans might carry on the tradition of hand-weave.
