Kora Jacquard

I was made with 100% fine cotton making me a breathable fabric.

I was hand-woven by Jacquard technique - a rare process that's almost extinct in Pakistan.

It took my weaver  2.5 hours to handweave just 1 yard of the fabric

My Fabric is created using Hand-woven Jacquard technique which means that the weaver weaves each thread by his hand. 

Do not worry! I will not loose my colors, I am yarn-dyed by OEKO-TEX® certified dyes, which makes me more comfortable and irritation free, which means that I'll never harm your skin.

 

I was woven by Voile's master artisan "Yusuf"

Yusuf (Aged 59) migrated with his family from India in 1973 and started working alongside his father from the age of 10 in their family-run business, but due to this art vanishing from Pakistan, they couldn’t run their business at a profitable level and thus, ended up shutting down. Yusuf is one of those talented hand-weavers who believe that this art will eventually become extinct in the upcoming generation, hence his children won’t adopt this art and focus on other fields, however he wishes to pass this unique art to them.

Voile and its master artisans are vigorously working to breathe life into the art of hand-weave, we hope that by promoting this art to our valuable customers the next generation of our artisans might carry on the tradition of hand-weave.
