Cloud Burst Hand-woven

I was woven by the technique of "Jaamdani Meenedaar" Jacquard technique a rare technique which is near to its extinction in Pakistan.

It took my weaver 12 hours to weave only the Shirt Fabric.

My Pret is created using random multiple threads of different colors to create a unique theme which is intricate and the complete and complex design is created by the hands of the master artisan 

Do not Worry! I will not loose my colors, I am yarn-dyed by OEKO-TEX® certified dyes, which makes me more comfortable and irritation free, which means that I'll never harm your skin.

 

I was woven by Voile's master artisan "Yusuf"

Yusuf (Aged 59) migrated with his family from India in 1973 and started working alongside his father from the age of 10 in their family-run business, but due to this art vanished from Pakistan couldn’t run their business at a profitable level and thus, ended up shutting down the business. Yusuf is one of those talented hand-weavers who believe that this art will eventually extinct in the next coming generation, hence his children won’t adopt this art and focus on other fields, however he wishes to pass this unique art to them.

Voile and its master artisans are vigorously working to put life into the art of hand-weave, we hope that by promoting this art to our valuable customers the next generation of our artisans might carry on the tradition of hand-weave.
