DESCRIPTION

Water of Life – Inspired by Seas
Deep blues and fluid motifs swirl through this design like divine water carving the face of the earth. “Aab-e-Hayat”, the water of immortality. It reflects movement, reflection, and mercy. It’s a tribute to the oceans that nourish, heal, and carry the rhythm of divine intention.

What am I?

I am the flowing essence of life, a 3-piece story of shirt, dupatta, and trouser dyed in divine blues. In a single wave, I became motion. A liquid grace woven into fabric.

About my fabric.

I was made with 100% fine cotton, making me a breathable fabric.

How I was woven?

I was woven by "Meenedaar" Jacquard technique - a rare process that's almost extinct in Pakistan.

How much time did it take?

It took my weaver 12 hours to weave entire 3Pc Fabric..

About my Unstitched Suit.

My unstitch 3pc has the following yardage

Shirt - 4 yards
Trouser - 2.5 yards
Dupatta - 2.75 yards

About my colors.

Do not worry! I will not loose my colors, I am yarn-dyed by OEKO-TEX® certified dyes, which makes me more comfortable and irritation free, which means that I'll never harm your skin.

My Weaver.

I was woven by Voile's master artisan "Shamim"

Shamim brother of 6 siblings migrated from Bangladesh to Pakistan in 1980, with the art of "Banarsi Hand-weave" he continued to work in Karachi city, Shamim had been weaving since he was 8 years old and weaves till date, he is one of those weavers who rejects the idea of promoting this art through his generation, according to him this art is near it's end and like every father he wants his children to succeed financially in life.

Saving the art

Voile and its master artisans are vigorously working to breathe life into the art of hand-weave, we hope that by promoting this art to our valuable customers the next generation of our artisans might carry on the tradition of hand-weave. Voile is committed to facilitating this art by supporting our local artisans and their families in exploring rare techniques and providing an irreplaceable space in the fast fashion industry.

How to take care of me.
Handwash is preferred   |     Dry Clean   |     Ecological Detergents Recommended
